SumTube: AI YouTube Summarizer

Too long to watch? SumTube turns a YouTube video into a clear written summary. Paste a link, choose how much detail you want and the language to read it in, and get an overview, the key points and the main takeaways.

WHAT YOU GET
• Three summary lengths: Short (a quick overview), Medium (overview, key points and main takeaways) or Detailed (adds the main topic, who the video is for and suggested next steps)
• Summaries in 9 languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Simplified)
• Read it in your language: a video in another language can be summarized in any of the 9
• Works with regular videos, Shorts and youtu.be links, and the Paste button picks up the link you just copied
• History: every summary is saved with the video's title, channel and thumbnail, so you can open it again later
• No sign-up: start right away, no account needed

GREAT FOR
• Students: get the key points of a lecture or tutorial before you watch, or review one afterwards
• Work: catch up on talks, webinars and interviews
• Anyone curious: see what a long video or podcast covers before you give it an hour

HOW IT WORKS
1. In YouTube, tap Share and copy the link
2. Paste it into SumTube
3. Pick the summary length and language
4. Tap Generate Summary

GOOD TO KNOW
• SumTube reads the video's captions or subtitles, and auto-generated captions work too. Videos without captions can't be summarized, and neither can live streams, upcoming premieres, or private, members-only, age-restricted and paid videos.
• Summaries are written by AI (Google Gemini) from the captions, so they can contain mistakes. Check the video itself for anything important.
• The app's interface is in English.
• An internet connection is required.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Your first summary is free. Premium removes the limit on the number of summaries.

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or every 3 months. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings.

SumTube is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
