Swiss eSIM: Switzerland Data

Swiss eSIM is a prepaid data eSIM for Switzerland: you buy it, install it and manage it in the app.
It is made for travelers spending their days in Lucerne, Zermatt, Lugano or the Bernese Oberland, on vacation or on business.
It carries data only, so your regular SIM never leaves the iPhone — your own number keeps taking calls and texts, and WhatsApp keeps working on that number.

One phone, two lines. The Swiss eSIM handles the maps, the messages and everything you look up during the day, while your home line stays reachable. Several eSIMs sit side by side in the app, so you switch on the one this trip needs.

What you can buy
• 6 fixed data packs, when you know roughly what you use
• 6 unlimited plans — the data keeps running, and after a daily high-speed allowance the speed drops for the rest of that day
• 5 day passes, where you pick 1 to 30 days
• Regional Europe plans for a trip that crosses borders; those carry fixed data, with no unlimited option

Coverage runs on Swiss mobile networks, 4G/LTE and 5G where the network offers it.

Buying and installing
• Pay with Apple Pay or card; the eSIM is ready shortly after payment
• Install with one tap on the iPhone, by QR code, or by typing the details in by hand
• Installing needs an internet connection, so do it on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch the line on after landing
• Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email — there is no password

• Live balance, and a notice before the data runs low
• Top up on any plan while the eSIM is still valid; an expired eSIM cannot be topped up
