TAB2Read Mobile is a DAISY Audiobook Player Project

TAB2Read is a digital accessible library for blind, low-vision and print-disabled readers.
It plays DAISY audiobooks, renders braille and text books, and connects
directly to the Thai library of the blind. Every screen is built for
VoiceOver — design accessibility for visually impaired.

Created by the Thailand Association of the Blind with the "1414 Plus" project,
supported by the Thai Blind People's Foundation.

Reads every format that matters:
- DAISY 2.02 and DAISY 3 audiobooks
- Full-text DAISY with text that follows the narration
- Audio-only DAISY titles
- Braille (BRF) books, with refreshable braille display support
- Plain text (TXT) and EPUB

A complete DAISY player:
- Play, pause, seek, adjust speed and volume
- Move by chapter, by page, or sentence by sentence
- Table of contents for jumping straight to any part
- Bookmarks — add, remove and jump back
- Search inside a book, then tap a result to go straight to that line
- Sleep timer
- Adjustable text size for low-vision reading
- Remembers exactly where you stopped

Online library (members):
- Direct access to the 1414 talking-book library
- Keyword search, or browse by category, author, narrator, publisher,
translator
- Stream instantly, or download for offline reading
- Favourites, plus ratings and reviews
- Share a book with a link that opens straight in the app

Bookshelf
- Downloaded books available with no internet connection
- Import your own books from files or cloud storage such as iCloud Drive,
Google Drive and Dropbox
- Search and sort your shelf

Online radio:
— listen to radio stations and audio programmes in the app

Accessible by design
- Fully operable with VoiceOver; every control is clearly labelled
- Thai and English interface and speech
- Dark mode and system text sizing

New in version 3 — your AI reading assistant
- AI Search — find books in plain, natural language; no exact titles needed
- AI Summary — get the gist of a book before you borrow or download it
- AI Voice Reader — have text books read aloud, with a choice of voice,
language and speed
- AI Live Chat — talk to the assistant by voice to find books and ask questions
