Civicom ThoughtLight is a useful tool for shopper insights, audio diaries, patient journeys, on-the-spot data collection, and helpful in any situation where a researcher wants to engage with participants to gather data and feedback through use of participant smart phones.



ThoughtLight can be used for collecting user-generated content such as audio, text, photos, videos, and even geo-location. The app has offline accessibility, which enables participation even when a Wi-Fi connection is not available, as material can be created, then sent as soon as Wi-Fi becomes present. ThoughtLight provides researchers with the ability to include activity based questionnaires and also encourages open-ended responses. The ThoughtLight mobile experience also allows for moderator-participant interaction. In addition, it has the capability to extend to Civicom’s other platform capabilities. Respondent content generated through the ThoughtLight app can be posted on the Civicom Chatterbox® online community platform, where researchers can then use the robust Chatterbox analytics tools to analyze and consolidate data, create excerpts, word clouds, and charts and graphs, as well as to formulate reports.
