ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION
Most measurement apps charge you every month for a tool you use occasionally. TrueMeter doesn't. Everything unlocks with a single purchase, once, and it stays unlocked.
SOUND LEVEL METER
• Live decibel readings with min, average, max, and Leq
• A-weighting (dBA) free — C and Z weighting with Pro
• Real-time graph of the last 60 seconds
• Record timestamped sessions
• Add a location note to any recording
• Threshold alerts when sound crosses a level you set
Useful for documenting a noisy neighbour, checking whether a room or venue is uncomfortably loud, or comparing appliances.
LIGHT METER
• Estimated lux readings using your camera
• Save and name spots around your home
• Compare every spot, ranked brightest to dimmest
• Front or rear camera
Built for the question people actually ask: which spot gets more light?
LEVEL & VIBRATION
• Precise digital angle to 0.1 degrees
• Classic bubble level, flat or edge mode
• Zero against any reference surface
• Three-axis vibration readings
No permissions needed. Works completely offline.
EXPORT REAL REPORTS
Turn recordings into documents you can actually send to someone.
• PDF reports with timestamps, statistics, and graphs
• CSV export with full raw data
• iCloud sync across your own devices
BUILT HONESTLY
Your iPhone is a remarkable device. It is not a laboratory instrument, and we won't pretend otherwise.
TrueMeter tells you its real limits inside the app. Sound readings are reliable roughly between 40 and 95 dBA — above that, iPhone microphones physically clip and read low. Light readings are comparative estimates, because the true ambient light sensor isn't available to apps.
You'll notice we don't offer an EMF detector or a ghost detector. That's deliberate. iPhones cannot measure EMF radiation — apps claiming otherwise are reading the magnetometer and calling it something it isn't.
PRIVACY
TrueMeter collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no servers. Audio and camera frames are processed live to compute readings and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Everything stays on your device.
TRUEMETER PRO — $4.99, ONCE
• Unlimited saved sessions and light spots
• PDF reports and CSV export
• dBC and dBZ weightings
• Threshold alerts
• Home Screen widgets
• iCloud sync
• Sound calibration offset
IMPORTANT
TrueMeter provides reference measurements from your device's built-in sensors for general and educational use. It is not a certified measuring instrument and is not intended for medical, safety, legal, or occupational-compliance purposes. Do not rely on it to assess hearing safety or environmental hazards. If you need certified measurements, consult a qualified professional.
