WHAT IS WEGENSEND?
Whether it is to take care of your business, a small gift for a loved WEGEN or something else, send money to your loved ones in Ethiopia with just a few taps.

WegenSend is the easy, safe, and quick way to send money to Ethiopia. With WegenSend, you can send money to anyone with a bank account in Ethiopia.

The App itself was developed by Wegen Technology Solutions, PLC in partnership with Bank of Abyssinia and Commercial Bank of Ethiopia while the financial services are provided by, depending on your transaction settings, either by Bank of Abyssinia or Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.


HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once you have downloaded the WegenSend app:
1. Create an account and verify your identity.
2. Enter the recipient's information and the amount you want to send.
3. Select a payment method and confirm your transaction.

Your money will be sent directly to the recipient's bank account in Ethiopia or they can collect it from branches of CBE and Bank of Abyssinia with their government-issued ID and the secret code you set while making the transfer.

WegenSend is the perfect way to send money to your WEGEN back home.


HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
WegenSend does NOT charge you any transaction fees. Moreover, we will ALWAYS let you know how much your beneficiary will receive and how much we will charge you before you make a transfer so that you can make an informed choice.

Any legal residents of the following countries can use WegenSend.

We are in discussions with our partners to include more countries, and we would like to hear from you if your country (or country of residence) is not listed here but you would like to use WegenSend.

WHAT IF I AM TRAVELLING?
Be it for work or pleasure, we know travelling is part of the modern life. Hence, as long as your address (which MUST match the address on your payment card) is within one of the countries listed above, you can use it while travelling. So, if you are, for example, currently in Ethiopia and want to send yourself some money, it's not a problem for WegenSend.

ANY OTHER RESTRICTIONS?
WegenSend is primarily aimed at personal money transfers. Due to strict Anti-money Laundry regulations around the world, there are certain restrictions both per sender and beneficiary. But, you can send upto USD 1,000, in a maximum of 5 transactions in a given period of 30 days. We hope this will be relaxed gradually.

WHAT DATA DOES YOUR APP COLLECT?
As a financial app, this app collects both personal data (like your name and address) and financial data (like your card details). We comply with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and never store your card details on our systems. Instead, we use secure payment gateways to process your transactions safely.
