what is not in here
no streaks. miss a night, nothing happens. come back when you want.
no accounts. no email, no password, no "continue with google".
no notifications, except one optional wind-down reminder at a time you pick.
no ads. no trackers. no behavioral analytics. we do not know who you are and we are not trying to find out.
no infinite scroll of content. there is no content feed. there is one ritual.

600 affirmations
150 per mood, four moods, all bundled inside the app. nothing fetched, nothing generated, nothing personalized by a model that read your texts. just lines, written by hand, that someone might actually want to hear at midnight.
constellations instead of streaks
every completed night is a star. 64 stars across 10 real constellations. orion, cassiopeia, the southern cross, the rest. fill the sky slowly. no badge, no notification, no "you are on fire". just a quiet record that you showed up.
skip a week. the stars wait.
five palettes
warm ember is the default. soft amber on near-black, easy on a dark room. there are four others if you want them: cool blues, deep purples, forest greens, dusk pinks. pick once in settings, forget about it.
pricing
monthly or annual subscription. annual plan includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. local pricing shown on the subscribe screen.
no free tier, no ads, no upsells inside the app. that is the whole business model. you pay a small thing once or once a year, i keep making it, nobody sells your data.
cancel from your apple id settings in two taps.
privacy, the short version
your ritual data stays on your device. mood selections, constellation progress, palette choice, reminder time, and affirmations are not uploaded.
purchases are handled using an anonymous billing id. crash reports may be sent to help fix bugs. they do not include your email, name, mood, affirmations, or ritual history, because hoshi has no account.
who this is for
people who already know what to do at night and just need a quiet thing to help them do it. people tired of apps trying to be a friend, a coach, and a therapist at the same time. people who want one button.
who this is not for
if you want guided meditations, sleep stories, soundscapes, or sleep tracking with charts, there are good apps for that. hoshi does one thing and then closes.
