Cantonese keyboard


Cantonese keyboard (廣東話拼音鍵盤) is an implementation of soft keyboard for the Google Android mobile operation system. It provides an interface for the entering of traditional and simplified Chinese characters on Android devices, by means of the Hong Kong Government Cantonese Romanisation convention (香港政府粵語拼音) and English-Chinese dictionary look up.

For Android 1.5 ~ 2.3.x, open by:
1.Check the keyboard at Settings > Locale & text
2.Long press a text box > select input method

For Android 3.x ~ 4.2.x, open by:
1.Check the keyboard at Settings > Language & input
2.Select the keyboard at Settings > Language & input > Default

Tips:
1. If you experience extreme lag after updating, try uninstalling and re-installing the keyboard again.
2. After changing theme, try to restart the keyboard or rotate the device with the keyboard active, to make the new theme effective.
3. If you experience touch difficulty, try to set the Touch sensitivity settings as High and Neutral.
4. If you experience missing candidates, try enabling the 'Rarely used characters' option of 'Chinese candidates' setting.
5. Simplified Chinese candidates are disabled by default. Enable it at the 'Character type' option of 'Chinese candidates' setting if required.

Known issues:
1. Keyboard closes itself on Contact's phone number text box of Samsung devices with Android 4.x. Will fix once we get a Samsung device on hand to check.
2. Keyboard plays sound on press on LG devices, even sound is disabled in settings. Will fix once we get a LG device on hand to check.
3. Candidates selection bar jumps when the height is set to S. Fix in the pipeline.

1. Fixed the malfunction cursor.

Ver 0.12.0:
1. New 'More Candidate History' button.
2. Option to disable English candidate history.
3. No longer expire.

very useful keyboard, please make for ios too! please work on making for ios! i wouldnt mind paying 10$ USD for this!

Simply efficient Simple and efficient. Nothing was complex. Very easy to use. As a English speaking Chinese it is hard to use keyboard via mandarin pinyin but this uses English alphabet pronunciation to sound out the cantonese. Fabulous !

有 bugs (May, 2013) 打 password 果陣,個 keyboard 唔能夠打 capital letter, 其他 text field 無問題,please fix, thanks. (still no fix? @Aug, 2014)

Some words dont show on htc m8 I haf been always use this app with my previous note 2.. it worked perfectly fine.. but now i switched to m8.. i realize some of the chinese words doesnt show... Not only i cant type but also i cant see the word in the msg my frd sent me... Please help... How do i fix this?
