Description by Justin Driggers(from Google Play)
Ventriloid is an open source VoIP client that connects to Ventrilo 3.x servers via WiFi or your cellular data plan.
I've noticed some people have been skeptical to update due to the new required permission allowing the app to read the device's call status and identity. This permission is only required in order to properly disconnect the user from the server in the event of a incoming/outgoing phone call, and then reconnect when the call is over. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to email me, as I cannot respond to reviews.
Recent changes: Bugfix release. Source has been migrated to http://github.com/justindriggers/Ventriloid and the app has been updated to reflect that. RIP Google Code
The new permission is for Lollipop devices to correctly enable the use of custom notifications from the settings.

Well done Overall I like the app. One thing it is missing is the ability to turn off push to talk so you can talk freely. That would be wonderful. Only other thing I can not really ask for but would be nice. Somehow reducing background noise when using it for better outgoing sound quality when on mobile. The push to talk is far more important imo. Great job though love the app. Using it on my galaxy s4

Works well on my S4 4.4.2 (KITKAT). Once in a while it fails to launch the application but a retry gets me connected eventually. Not really a big deal. The only thing I can think of is to somehow get PPT to work on my headset. Is there a specific headset that works with this Vent?

Since ventrilo 4.0 release I can't use my Mobil is there a update coming soon?
★★☆☆☆
This was a good app but the key word there is "was". Until this app is updated to work with Ventrilo 4.0 it's pretty useless now for me :(

Can't private chat anymore? Why can we not private chat anymore? I use this vent function frequently. There is even a screenshot of a private chat in the app pictures. Will only give this app 2 stars until the ability to private chat is returned. Otherwise, however, the app is amazing.

Lowered to 2 star for no announcer volume customs If I wear headset everyone sounds great. Then I get announcer volumes DISCONNECTED etc that kill my hearing. Should be able to customize this. Also if disconnected it will repeat DISCONNECTED every 2s until force close

Worked great until 5 min ago Was just put on a 480 minute ban and it wasn't the admin of the server I was using. Ventrilo forums don't support this so need some advice here. Will gladly update review after.
