The app includes 14ers.com Online Guidebook information to help you climb Colorado's 14ers. You have access to peak information, route descriptions, route maps, route photos, trailheads, plus real-time user-contributed peak condition reports. Many 14er routes are far away from cell phone service but this app provides the information you want when you're off the grid.
You'll also be able to track your hikes using the Location Services included on the map. To record tracks, the app requires use of your device location data, including while in the background, to plot your desired tracks. To use the tracking feature, the app will clearly ask your permission to use your location while hiking.
Mountaineering in Colorado can be very dangerous and many people have died on the 14ers. Weather, terrain and other people can put you in a situation where your knowledge and experience will be vital. Do your homework, bring the right gear and hike with experienced partners so you have a fun, safe hike.
