Description
7Charge uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility. Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app. With the 7Charge electric vehicle charging app, you can also: • Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time. • Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging. • Make secure payments. • Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations. • Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions. • View a history of past charging sessions. • Report drivers that abuse charging station use.

I have not used the app yet but did use a station in Federal Way WA. The station did NOT require the app and did NOT require registration. I just tapped my card, approved the price, plugged in and the charge session started. I'm not sure the price I was charged was the price I approved because I didn't use the app and didn’t see how many kW I purchased, but the price charged seemed high, so I dinged the rating 1 star.

Hopeful... that they don't just deploy several chargers in the largest metro city in a state and nowhere else. Hopefully that they do better than other charging companies and have a reliable app and charging infrastructure. My rating will vary over time. Right now there's non where I live in Colorado and the two that are there are, of course, in northern Colorado.

Fairly easy to use with minimal issues. Seems as if the chargers are at least maintained by 7-Eleven ! One great perk about using 7-Charge is that their chargers are simultaneous dual chargers; it does not say this anywhere on the charger itself ... Oh thank heaven !

Since I've been an EV owner (Kia Niro EV / 1 month) always open charging stations (no wait) & always online (no vandalism, maintenance or other issues). Higher charge than any other provider at $.55 kWh for peak and non-peak hours.

Overpriced charging!!!! Come on 7-11, are you really going to start off your ev charging stations with overpriced rates. Almost double than everyone else! Not worth the app/charge. 😠👎🏼

Forced to register, so didn't even use it. This shouldn't be a requirement just to search for chargers.

They require you to register. Asks for a password, and it says minimum 6 characters. Then, you enter one, and it comes up with this list of password requirements that start with, "must be at least 10 characters". If they can't even get that right, why would I trust them with any other information?
