So much better than I expected. If longer journeys are a regular thing then ABRP premium is an absolute must. Integration with the cars system and planning a route on the app or an on computer makes it much better than any other planner I've used.

Everything just works, and now it's connected to my OBDII port it has saved us money on every long journey. I particularly like the timer that appears when charging, so I don't overcharge and cost me extra pennies.

This is, by far, the best tool for making longer trips in an EV. I've made several long trips in my Ionic 5 and this is what made it workable. I was able to drive across five states and use only my preferred provider. It's guidance feature has come Along way, and can almost replace Google Maps. But it needs the option to choose alternate routes before beginning the trip. Also, it causes my Pixel 10 Pro XL to run very hot when running alongside audio apps, which doesn't happen with GMaps.

I don't like the new app that came with v7. This was the best and most detailed travel planning app where you had the freedom to set every little detail about your trip. Now you have only the basics: ev, battery degradation, current SOC, arrival SOC, speed setting and that's it. Still the most prefers app for me but only because I have used it before. With current user experience it has nothing more than any other ev road planning app.

The app seems to promise so much. Using a OBD dongle to communicate with the car and plan routes accordingly would be excellent, if the route planning was any good. I have given this app a year of used to see if it gets better, but I keep going back to Google Maps as the routing options are far better. ABRP reports traffic, but does not update the arrival time, so it is always a guess how long a journey will take. Charging planning is also poor.

Unfortunately, the app does not keep up with the car. As the trip progresses, the location shown on the map drops further and further behind the real location of the vehicle, making the program unusable. It's a pity, as the functionality of the map planning is great. I wish there was some way to fix the lagging position. This is running on a 2022 Volvo C40.

Trusting this app left me dead in the water in West Texas with no way to charge my car. The app is apparently not connected to networked chargers like electrify America, so you need to use each charger's app to verify it's actually functional before you depend on it. Furthermore, the app was totally useless and trying to reroute me to another station that I had enough range to get to. It. Was trying to send me two stations that were 10 times. As far as the range I had no sense at all.

Can I give it negative stars? This is just as horrible as my car calculation miles! I download this because it was supposed to be better than my car's miles predicted! And it won't even learn, even if I have the OBD2 that tells it the charge level! I risk just as much being stranded, complete garbage! Both my car and this app expect me to drive without AC in order to get anything close to the estimated miles! Useless!!! And not to mention it wants me to break in to private property to charge!!!!
