Abound uses the structure of a 2-week theme, with a plan of quick-and-regular conversations, to fit into busy schedules without putting your child in front of another screen. I'm thrilled! My daughter's teacher introduced us to Abound, and it is such a joy to be immersed in such a thoughtfully designed program. Abound isn't just about reading, or learning to read - it's about vocabulary, language, and even social and emotional skills. These are all crucial assets as children progress in their educational journey. The app is like a gentle guide as my daughter embarks on hers. I love that it has fostered the opportunity for my family to engage in mindful discussions about the concepts we have read together in our expanding library. The idea is that literacy doesn't stop when we put a book down; the app offers prompts to have those important conversations about the concepts and vocabulary in those books after we've finished reading. What's most helpful to me as a parent is learning how to teach my daughter those vocabulary words in an age-appropriate context. Abound has been great with that kind of empowerment. As parents, we are just as important as our kids' teachers in developing our tiny humans' literacy skills, and Abound has helped open that door. I'm only involved with Abound as a parent, but I did have the chance to speak with its creator, and I can tell that for her, it's been a labor of love. There's a really beautiful mission behind this application and curriculum, and I highly recommend it to parents with kids of all ages. (Also, Google reviews won't allow carriage returns in these reviews, so apologies that this looks like a wall of text.)

Horrible. Crashes and crashes and more crashes. Doesn't work on my wife's phone either. Initial installation went okay for both of us, but now it just crashes before even entering.
