Useful It does exactly what it's supposed to do. A simple way for the lazy to manage one or more BOINC clients, as long as remote confections are enabled in the clients.

Is there a way to connect to connect to the localhost client on which AndroBOINC runs? The client is the official Berkeley v 7.16.3 Certainly had no issue with the interface and the compact graphics per task running including remaining runtime is a substantial improvement over the standard boinc manager interface on Android.

I love this app! Great way to monitor and manage multiple BOINC instances from wherever! Note that if you want to connect to a home computer through a router, you'll need to set up port forwarding rules. I also realized that you'll usually need two entries per host: a local IP for when you are at home on WiFi, and your port-forwarded public IP for when you are on 3G.

App is old, but fully functional. Interface isn't intuitive sometimes, but wiki page is pretty clear. If you dont know how to bring menu up on your phon - try to hold the button that makes you switch between apps. Also for people who says that its fake: it isn't boinc client, which is clearly stated in the description, it's rpc gui FOR your should-already-exist-on-another-machine client.

Works as excepted. My only gripe is that it requires an IP address to talk to clients; hostnames and domain names are seemingly unsupported. If the developer could add that feature it would be great.

I've been using BOINC on multiple servers for a while now. Wanted to find a mobile app to connect to them to keep track of their tasks. This app was clearly designed in the Android 3/4 era, and on my Android 9 Pixel 2 XL it looks... ancient. Also, the GUI design just doesn't work properly anymore. Couldn't connect to my local machine. Needs a complete overhaul by the author. I'm sure it was great in its day!

Can't Connect I have two boinc clients that I can connect to from my PC on the same network but Androboinc cannot connect to either of them.

Last update was 2012.. and it shows. Been using the pc and mobile versions of this program for a while now and never had any issues. Sounded like a great idea keeping track of progress as I often leave my desktop running with it when I'm out. I don't mind the old GUI but it does not work at all on my S7. Looked at the wiki and it instructs to select connect via the menu.. only there's no menu button anywhere. Would be great if publisher could make a simple update so it works, ugly GUI or not.

No menu button on Android 10. (Pixel 3a) This makes the app useless (unfortunately), since the apps purpose is control of already running boinc clients. No way to connect when the connect menu cannot be accessed
