★★☆☆☆ Bioacoustician here. Pretty disappointed. To be clear I bought the paid version. I work with spectrograms nearly every day, using various Adobe products for spectrographic editing and other audio analyzers made by Cornell U (Raven Pro/Lite) in researching the vocal lives of animals. This application 'could' offer real in-the-field usability for me and was hoping this product would deliver. My problems came mostly from the terrible resolution I got playing will all possible combinations of various settings (NFFT and window size, smoothing) in trying to get a clear or more detailed image of bird vocalizations in various instances. The produced spectrograms were so grainy and un-scalable no kind of finer detail in bird song could be discerned from the spects, unlike its iPhone counterpart simply named "Spectrogram". I don't know what generator engine Apple's spect app uses, but it's far superior. I really wanted this app to be as good for use on my new phone. For low-pitched human voices this app might be acceptable, but for higher pitched bird songs it surely is not.

★★☆☆☆ Crashed Didn't even open properly before crashing. Going to the settings killed it. Restarting doesn't work, it just opens up where you last left it which was when it was crashing.

★★☆☆☆ Good except... Too many limitationsnfor the free version, and the paid version doesn't allow Logarithmic scale... Worthless, you can't read anything with a linear scale...
