Great app! I have this app calibrated to a professional spl meter... if you haven't done that, then your spl readings are simply wrong. Keep in mind that this app is limited only by the hardware it's running on... a cell phone/tablet. So unless your phone has a mic capable of handling higher spls, numerically it won't be accurate above 90db or so. The spectrum analyzer however is indispensable!

Droid 2.1. Worked great and helped me track down and fix noise in cpu. Great fun to play around w too. Have lowered inside house noise SPL by 7 db!

Useful Handy for ringing out a room before a gig or for finding which frequency to hit when feedback occurs.

Droid Razr Doesn't work on the Razr... Just displays a white noise kinda wave. Input didn't seem to affect it

Finally, got my dB meter put to calibrate and found this dB meter doesn't move after calibration... terrible app. -EVO

Simply broken -- frequency off by about 20 Hz This is a very nifty app, except it doesn't work. Comparing it against a pure tone of 440 Hz, it reads 420 Hz as the peak. It's consistently about 20 Hz too low. If the frequency were correct, it'd be a great app. Until that's fixed, stay away.
