Description
Medical ID allows creating medical profiles that are accessible from the lock screen of your device. In case of emergency, the app enables quick access to vital information such as your allergies, blood type, medical contacts, etc. that are essential to attending first responders, medics, or medical staff having to take action.
This is the premium version of the app. It enables all features:
• Quick access to medical information from your lock screen. • Emergency alert feature to send SMS in one click (with your estimated location). • Location sharing with emergency contacts even when the app is closed (for up to 24 hours or until you stop sharing). • Direct emergency contacts call from the lock screen without having to unlock. • Backup feature to trigger manually. • Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation. • Current location (address, GPS coordinates). • Compass.
The display and access of your medical information from your lock screen are made possible via an accessibility service to enable and that is part of the core features of the app. Once enabled, the accessibility service displays a widget over your lock screen. This widget helps people who have disabilities, or first responders in case of emergency, to take action and access medical data.
In emergency situations, a Medical ID could prove to be invaluable to attending medics or other medical personnel providing treatment. Do not wait, turn your Android device into a life-saving tool.

My doctors think everyone with any medical conditions, especially with multiple medications should have this app, and available to first responders. If unconscious, can prevent the wrong medication to be put into you.

I think it is a really good idea to have banner on lock screen so don't have to open phone for emergency

All my information is in one place. It's easy and no one needs to have access to my entire phone. They can access it from the lock screen with two double taps.

Great app to be a le to type in my current medications/medical issues. At this point I just hand doctors my phone, so they can review the list rather than try to tell them what "meds" I'm on every time.

Upgraded to the premium version, and it's having the same issues other users have been experiencing for months. It won't display on the home screen. It cycles twice trying to add contacts and then shuts down. It's less usable than the free version. Hopefully the developer can fix these issues because it seems like it could be a great app. Samsung S24 Ultra

If both love and hate this app. I love the functions it provides when it is turned on, but really hate it when the app's accessibility service suddenly turns itself off. If the app isn't reliable, it isn't of any value. Further, getting it turned back on for First Responders is too difficult. I've spent over a half hour trying to get it turned back on with no success. Even the videos haven't helped.

Used to be great. But recent changes to Android (no fault of the developer) mean that you have to enable rather extreme accessibility function to get the home screen icon to work. However, every update or reboot my Samsung A70 does, removes this permission -- removing the home screen button intended to be ALWAYS available for medical professionals. This really sucks and frankly endangers my health! EDIT: Keeps losing permissions and vanishing. Star rating decreased again.
