Another great sudoku app from the people behind cracking the cryptic. Every puzzle chosen for its logical excellence, rather than just ramming in hundreds of low quality puzzles. Would recommend whole heatedly

Good Sudoku app with quite hard puzzles but non-punishing hints. It's easy to get into the different ways arrow Sudoku can be build and solved. Unfortunately its often required to keep track of all the different ways to calculate a number and the calculator feature is only in a few puzzles available. Thus 1 point deduction. As this feature would definitely make it much more user-friendly.

Great app as with all the CtC apps, but the puzzles on this seem to be very hit or miss. After the first few, nearly every puzzle requires you to bifurcate at some point, and in many cases the hints use some logic that doesn't make sense with the ruleset, or they fall short in their explanation. Puzzle 36 in particular has hints that make massive and unexplained leaps of faith. A bit disappointing compared to the other apps.

I've done 10 of the puzzles and quite a few don't have unique solutions. I've completed their classic and chess apps and this is the first I've had this issue. I know the cracking the cryptic guys pride themselves on quality handcrafted puzzles so letting these slip through. Seems a bit lazy. Edit: dropping to 2 stars because the "smart hints" point to contradictory solutions to the rule sets. Puzzle 13 for example. Smart hint points to consecutive arrow in nonconsecutive puzzle...
