Cracking the Cryptic

★★★★★ Great to have one app with different puzzle collections that you can purchase separately (Gas 1 and 2, Domino, Lines) rather than individual apps.

★★★★★ Great set of puzzles that will almost make your brain hurt. Challenging and rewarding in equal amounts. Still drains battery like no other app, even though the last update improved it somewhat.

★★☆☆☆ Overall it's a great app, but there are enough quality control things that make me regret buying it. Hints are completely incorrect on multiple puzzles, making them useless. Several puzzles are also incorrect, which is frustrating to find out you've been going down the wrong path. Example is Lines Puzzle 12 which has an incorrect parity line in the bottom right. Or Lines Puzzle 37 which has rules for 3 different color lines ...but all the lines are gray.

★★☆☆☆ Tried the free packs only. Some puzzles are ok and fun, some free pack puzzles are non-logica and leave you in frustration with hints that make no sense.

★★☆☆☆ The UI is much improved over other CTC games. The optional colors for cells and annotations is a huge improvement. There are however times when the UI doesn't respond correctly when selecting cells. Annoying but not horrible. What is horrible is that this CTC is a battery killer. UPDATE: A new bad behavior I'm noticing is that successfully completed puzzles frequently show up as "incomplete" which is very annoying. The UI is frequently sluggish when attempting to open a new puzzle.
