Ask 4 Alcocheck

Ask-4-Alcocheck is an interactive-informative application developed to create awareness and personal responsibility among people regarding drinking and driving.


The Ask-4-Alcocheck application includes an exciting alcohol calculator; a safe and easy to use way to check blood alcohol content. You just need to input some information (e.g., gender, weight, duration of drinking, etc.) and the number of drinks consumed and it then informs you about your physical condition, the amount of alcohol in your blood stream and whether you are capable of driving.

The Ask-4-Alcocheck application also includes all important information regarding alcohol, such as “What I should know about alcohol?”, “Worried about drinking?”, “Myths and Facts”, “Treatment Programs” and other useful information.


The Ask 4 Alcocheck application has been developed by the Mobile Devices Laboratory (MDL) of Frederick University Cyprus, for the Cyprus Anti-drugs Council’s Alcohol Awareness Week. The Cyprus Anti-drugs Council (C.A.C) is the supreme state coordinating body regarding the National Strategy for illegal drugs and the harmful use of alcohol, encompassing Demand Reduction (prevention, treatment, social reintegration, harm reduction) as well as Supply Control, and the epidemiological monitoring of the situation in Cyprus.
