I think the app is much improved since I first installed it a few years ago, and I like that I can update trips to correct the driver/passenger/not a trip category. It can get the locations wrong, so sometimes you need to have an idea of where you were that day. But I'm really enjoying the discount on my policy - luckily, I have never been one to talk OR TEXT while I'm driving. Thumbs up!

I like the concept of app and the app works well. The only thing I don't like is you can't do ANYTHING on your phone without it noticing. No gps or maps, no texting, no calls including hands free and so forth. Don't touch your phone, and you can get a decent discount in the 20+ range.

I have to turn the app off when I'm not driving, so it doesn't count weird stuff, and so it doesn't drain my battery absolutely dead. Every 3–4 times, it says the app is not working at this time or some other goofy message and refuses to open the app. Not even cleaning the cache helps. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall it. Why is USAA forcing us to use an app the developers clearly refuse to fix? The only reason I keep it is for the premium discount.

Update: I can no longer log in after the 4.0 updated version!!! Update: they fixed the app, but now it kills my battery and my score drops multiple points even though I have no infractions! The app is basically worthless at this point. Even when I edit my drives for work/passenger it does not raise my score. Garbage! The app is broken. It stopped recording my drives and gives an odd low score.

This app needs a lot of work! It cannot distinguish between using the phone while driving vs not driving. This is a very poor way to determine the amount of discount you receive for using it! Would not recommend 👎🏾

This app is supposed to help get a discount, but when I brake hard because someone pulls on front of me or a light changes red on a 55 mph road I get dinged for it. How is my staying out of an accident bad driving? Also, using hands-free calling should not count against me as driving, there are times when I need to talk to the person I'm driving to or my family needs to give me information, I never touch my phone, and yet I'm getting dinged for that as well. Annoyed with the metrics.
