I have been using pocket casts since forever I think. It's really the only podcast app I have ever used. It's very easy to use, lots of great features, there's no reason to switch to anything else, it's really the gold standard. Simply, the best.

Buggy and frequently hides episodes regardless of settings. Downloaded a podcast to show friends on a car ride, and proceeded to fight the app to play the saved episodes, because I'd listened to them before, and it kept re-marking them as listened. Suboptimal for anyone who doesn't want the most bare-bones podcast app edit: lowering my score, and abandoning the app. Downloads don't play, app play and pause buttons don't work or lag 15–30 seconds. Look elsewhere for podcasts

When I am trying to listen to a podcast for. The beginning, every time an episode finishes it skips to the latest episode. Ive gone through settings, there is no option to change the play order, or if there is It's not easily found. There is no contact or help in the app. I will be getting rid of this app when I find a new one.

Uses cellular data to download podcasts even with correct settings. I think it's when a podcast started downloading on Wi-Fi but didn't finish.
