Compares well to reality. Nice graphical displays of the auroral oval and of kp index forecast.

5 stars; Very thorough; take some time to explore its many features. Go to My Location in settings... if you type in your home Location, then negative for Western Longitudes.

This is one of the best apps. It has a built-in interactive map with different versions, and you can also see the constellations and planets etc. And a compass to help you locate the right part of the sky. It has info about the aurora predictions on the map and in graphs which are updated in real-time. Along with the current KP index and solar wind info etc. You can also see the light pollution and where the sun and moon are in the sky at the moment. It has a lot of very useful information.
★★☆☆☆
Latest update with the slider at the bottom is really buggy. (Annoying) The slider keeps snapping back. As well as rotating the globe every time you try to slide the timeline. When you finally got the time correct on the slider when pushing the home icon to set back your position it snaps back to 00:00h... At the moment not usable, looking forward to the next update.

I couldn't find my exact location on the map!

Was a great app to get notified in advance of possible aurora, and view regular updates of the NOAA forecast... Until the notifications stopped working. I don't receive any now, and haven't for months. Missed several possible opportunities including the massive solar storm earlier this month when aurora was visible all across the UK. The most useful feature is now broken. Please fix!

I found it quite frustrating to set up. When you are trying to add a new location the app continuously goes back to the global view after only about 2 seconds, making it impossible to edit information. I could not turn the animated globe off either. All I want is a static view of my location in the Southern Hemisphere, not a continuous tour of every magnetic station up north. Although the app is supposedly for any location on the planet, it appears to be mainly written for using in the Northern Hemisphere. Perhaps it would be more useful if it used data from DSCOVR rather than the Kp index?
★★☆☆☆
Unfortunately, the app crashes on Google Pixel 6 just a few seconds after launching it. No error message is shown, so I cannot provide more details.
