The Pied Imperial Pigeon from my knowledge is called the Torresian Imperial Pigeon. It can also be known as Nutmeg Pigeon, White Nutmeg Pigeon but a lot of people from the north of Australia just call it Torres Strait Pigeon.

This is basically a free bird book with an search option and a logbook for your bird sightings. A bit clumsy to use at first and the visual part is old school for now. However, a great free app with lots of information. I'm traveling around the country and love having this database with me offline. Love the ability to add a picture in your sightings. I have heaps of ideas of what I would love to have added to the app: - more help determining the species when so many look alike. The app does a bit of this already. But for example when all the crows/ravens look very similar the app only reminds of similar Little raven when viewing the Australian raven. - I would love more game like features, just for motivation to keep on collecting sightings. When viewing the guide it would be fun to see some kind of "seen" icons for the species that I've added to my logbook as sightings. Like a green border in the icon and numbers in the categories : (Australian birds 5/805) - a possibility to mark a bird sighting unsure. Make it grey for example? - have birds categorised by rarity (yes I'm again thinking of collecting haha!). By state maybe? Or possibility to view most common/rare birds in the state. - when adding a picture in records, then going back without actually adding it leaves a blank "note" that will still say "1 photo" in the record. A usual "do you want to save / delete" option would be great.
★★☆☆☆
Bloody awful. It alternates between full scientific and common names, is
not alphabetical (option not available), seemingly written by a
pseudo-scientific prat desperate to show their cleverness, & laid out by
the design-challenged. If the aim is to educate; FAIL.
★★☆☆☆
Inicial id index should be alphabetical for easy search. No info on what birds eat. Very bassic.

Search doesnt work

Couldn't set up new account! It asked for affiliation details; affiliation with whom or what? If the app is as difficult to use as the registration, sorry but I don't want ut!

I will decide where you store your files. EXCELLENT app riddled with log-on nightmares! Obvious dingaling in charge. Minus 5 stars. Denied. Deleting

I had used this app before and it was awesome. BUT now it doesnt worth downloading. Doesnt appear anything just keep saying to record rexor rexor... I would like to select a bird and listen to their sounds, like before. Terrible and useless. OR there maybe some problem? Would love to have the one I downloaded last year working again...
