Description
Bartlett Instrument Co. is major supplier of kiln temperature controllers to manufacturers providing pottery kilns to schools and individual potters. The latest line of controllers communicates with our website where customers can sign up for a free account and claim their kiln thru a combination of mac address and serial number. Once the account is set up, Bartlett KilnAid will allow customers to view the current temperature and status of their kilns.

Runs good. Need more detail in firing- specifically when reached max temp and started cool down. Hard to do the math with just the graph. Enjoying the freedom of no baby sitting during a firing [=

I bought a Bartlett controller primarily because of this monitoring app. It is great as I can monitor the firing progress from anywhere I have phone reception.

It is nice to be able to see the kiln temperature on my phone. I would like
to be able to use remote start, use more of my controls, be able to view 2
kiln temperature at the same time, and widgets would be nice. I was hoping
to be able to view graphs of the kiln temperature on my phone as well as
view past fires. I guess I was sort of expecting to have a remote control
kiln. Like I said remote temperature is nice.

I do not understand the pay wall. All it seems like I get is the ability to look at my kiln specs and to get notifications. That's it. I would begrudgingly pay for the notifications, but they arive late or not at all. I fully expected the ability to change my programs or set different recipes, but that is not an option. Only thing you get is the ability to receive a notification wich is default on everything, and look at my specs. They do not change, so I could just print that out. Ridiculous

App provides basic status info. Trying to have us pay a subscription for a substandard status app AFTER we purchased it with the expected features it is just shameful.

Clunky, doesn't seem worth the value when you pay for the subscription. This is very much a better than nothing but still not great situation. It's very laggy, and I have to refresh/reopen the app multiple times to get the current firing graph to update. It would be nice to see firing profiles on your controller, or set custom notifications (like to notify me when it reaches x temp).
