I've owned a few wireless temp probes over the years and this one is by far the best. Easy to clean, recharge and store between grilling. The app works well too. I like the ability to customize my cook and set parameters.

I just knew this thing was going to burn up when I stuck it in a turkey and dropped the turkey and a 400° puddle of peanut oil instead. It gave me the inside temperature of the turkey, and it gave me the temperature of the oil which is under Ambient temperature. Because the ambient part of the probe is submerged. It works in my smoker. It works on direct flame grill and perfect for deep-frying. It's awesome I can't say anymore. It's awesome. It's worth every penny

It would be nice to set a manual minimum temp for the meat. That way when I am letting it rest after cooking I can have an alarm, so it doesn't get into the 140 °F range

The probe didn't work, the ap is annoying as hell, constantly sending out earsplitting alarms constantly, and the interface isn't intuitive. Thankfully I had an analog thermometer so my roast wasn't ruined!

I sure hope you enjoy the sound of a smoke detector going off right next to your ear, because that's the sound this app is going to make every time anything goes wrong with your thermometer. No way to control the volume, and disabling the "alarm" option does nothing. While you're troubleshooting endless Bluetooth problems with your Temp Spike thermometer, you'll get to hear it scream at you at full volume constantly. These developers need to get their heads examined. Fiddly piece of junk.

UX is terrible. I just use the built-in Traeger thermometer to cook & use that app to set new temps during the smoke. I set the Temp Spikes to target 500 and use it as a bonus probe guide. It wants to do more than basic cooking & adjustable temps as you smoke. I don't need to record etc. etc., just do the basics well.

Doesn't connect to 4 probe booster. If you're considering buying the probes for their Wi-Fi ability just buy meater
