I just knew this thing was going to burn up when I stuck it in a turkey and dropped the turkey and a 400° puddle of peanut oil instead. It gave me the inside temperature of the turkey, and it gave me the temperature of the oil which is under Ambient temperature. Because the ambient part of the probe is submerged. It works in my smoker. It works on direct flame grill and perfect for deep-frying. It's awesome I can't say anymore. It's awesome. It's worth every penny

I've owned a few wireless temp probes over the years and this one is by far the best. Easy to clean, recharge and store between grilling. The app works well too. I like the ability to customize my cook and set parameters.

Easy to use temperature spike and app. App has meat selection and taste (Rare, medium, well done, etc.) and has an option to save which then presents a graph of it cooking. App indicates how long left for it to reach the desired temperature plus a 5 min pre-empt warning. Has worked well when used in my air fryer to monitor meats. As always with temperature spikes make sure they are inserted into the meat fully and monitor ambient and internal temperatures.

Doesn't connect to 4 probe booster. If you're considering buying the probes for their Wi-Fi ability just buy meater

I sure hope you enjoy the sound of a smoke detector going off right next to your ear, because that's the sound this app is going to make every time anything goes wrong with your thermometer. No way to control the volume, and disabling the "alarm" option does nothing. While you're troubleshooting endless Bluetooth problems with your Temp Spike thermometer, you'll get to hear it scream at you at full volume constantly. These developers need to get their heads examined. Fiddly piece of junk.

I've had my temp spike replaced FOUR TIMES and I now have a graveyard of probes that do not connect to the base or this app.

App has random alarms for no good reason. Here is a scenario that they didn't think of: cook dinner using this thermometer, go to sleep, and an extremely loud fire alarm rings at 3 am to wake everyone up because your thermometer got disconnected because it died after all these hours... why is that alarm set by default or at all for that case?!
