I just knew this thing was going to burn up when I stuck it in a turkey and dropped the turkey and a 400° puddle of peanut oil instead. It gave me the inside temperature of the turkey, and it gave me the temperature of the oil which is under Ambient temperature. Because the ambient part of the probe is submerged. It works in my smoker. It works on direct flame grill and perfect for deep-frying. It's awesome I can't say anymore. It's awesome. It's worth every penny

App runs well and instantly connected to Temp Spike. However, I do not understand the default temperature values for Beef. In-App default for Medium is 66 °C. This is completely wrong! The ideal medium core temperature for nearly any sort of beef is 55-57 °C. Please change the default values!

It would be nice to set a manual minimum temp for the meat. That way when I am letting it rest after cooking I can have an alarm, so it doesn't get into the 140 °F range

I sure hope you enjoy the sound of a smoke detector going off right next to your ear, because that's the sound this app is going to make every time anything goes wrong with your thermometer. No way to control the volume, and disabling the "alarm" option does nothing. While you're troubleshooting endless Bluetooth problems with your Temp Spike thermometer, you'll get to hear it scream at you at full volume constantly. These developers need to get their heads examined. Fiddly piece of junk.

Unfortunately this device (Temp Spike TP960) does not work with a Samsung Galaxy Fold 6. It finds the device in initial pairing but then doesn't report any data afterward and shows no connection to the booster or probe. Can confirm it works with a Pixel 9, but not the latest Samsung devices.

App works but product sucks. Got a temp spike, and it was super inaccurate and after one brisket it won't display temp and the booster disconnects after 30 seconds. Reached out to the email provided and got absolutely no response.

Garbage product all around. The probes won't connect to the base or the app. Would not recommend wasting any money on these.
