I'd like to defend RecTeq from the negative reviews I've been reading and sing my praises for everything RecTeq. I've had my Deck Boss for over 2 years, and it's made smoking a real no-brainer. It's INCREDIBLY accurate on the temps I dial in, it's built like a tank, it's stylish, and it makes me look really good with the results. Keep it clean inside and out, i.e. ambient probe, line the drip pan with foil and use the temp probes, that's it. You'll be an expert in no time, too. 10 stars...

Love this unit but wish the pellet hopper was designed to feed more evenly. It's necessary to keep pushing pellets into the feeder by hand or grill starves for pellets even though the hopper is still half full.

Great temp control from far away through the app. Fire up the grill and app lets me know when it's up to temp. The two probes that come with the grill work well. It is a good piece of mind when you are away from your home to be able to see grill temp and probe temp and make changes to from a distance and not have to be home through out the cook to monitor. The recipes are good, gave some different ideas. Have tried a few now and happy with all so far.

App is garbage. Can't even get it to connect to Wi-Fi. Having buyers remorse right now. Paying $1500 for a smoker should ensure the smoker actually works! HUGE FAIL by recteq... As Inwas writing this the smoker errored out and stopped smoking. WTH???

Terrible app - won't let me turn the grill on remotely, notifications don't work well, temp graph won't zoom vertically anymore, loses connection and breaks the graph into multiple cooks. I've been using it for a few years hoping they will improve the app, but it has only gotten worse. No more recteq grills for me.

Doesn't connect. Tried it on my android and my wife's android. Feel like returning the grill because of horrible app.
