Really great app for a great way to control the temp not only on a charcoal grill but also works great on with the fireboard built into my Yoder ys640s. Even used it to monitor cooks in my oven. The best part is being able to set programs in the app so that it will automatically change temps depending on time elapsed or on internal temp of the meat I cook.

3/5. The app connects easily, and I love the graphs, but setting alerts is a disappointment. It is hidden, and then when I do set an alert it has not worked once. I set it to alert through the app, sms and even email. No alerts. I used the Weber probe for years and liked how you could select a temperature by food item, and it set an alert that worked. The device an app are great if you don't need an alert of course the night that I wrote this review, the alert worked and on two devices.

This app use to work great. Connected almost instantly with my Yoder when I opened my app. With the new update-when I open the app, it shows a previous session and takes a very long time to show a current session and connect. Then, when it finally shows a current session, the graph only shows temperature history over 1 minute which shows as a flat lime across the graph. Hopefully Fireboard fixes the issue because right now the app sucks.

Last cook the smoker shut down completely on its own, now this cook it went to random cool down mode, temp was set at 300, I pushed the start button and temp ran fast to 389, really disappointed with this app.
