Battery Emoji puts your battery level in the status bar as an emoji that changes as you charge and drain.
Instead of a plain white battery icon, your phone shows a full moon at 100 percent that wanes to a new moon as the day goes on. Or a tree that loses its leaves. Or a heart that cools from red to black. Every level from 0 to 100 gets its own emoji, and you choose all of them.

Just the battery: your phone's own status bar stays exactly as it is, and only the battery icon is replaced.
MAKE IT YOURS
Start from a ready made look, or set the background, clock and icon colours yourself. Adjust the height, icon size and spacing. Add a notch shape over the camera cut-out. Pin emoji stickers anywhere along the bar. Make the emoji breathe, bounce, wiggle or blink.
GESTURES
Tap, double tap, long press or swipe the bar to open notifications, quick settings or recent apps, show the power menu, take a screenshot, or lock the screen. Swipe down keeps working the way your phone already does: left opens notifications, right opens quick settings.

WHAT IT CAN AND CANNOT SEE
Battery Emoji reads the battery level your phone already broadcasts, and nothing else. There is no account, no analytics, and no personal data of any kind leaving your phone.
Accessibility service: Android only allows one kind of window to draw on top of the real status bar, and only an accessibility service is allowed to create it. That is the only reason Battery Emoji asks for it. The service is declared as unable to read the contents of any screen. It listens for a single event, "the app in front changed", which is used to hide your bar inside apps you pick, and it powers the bar's gestures. Everything else in the app works with it switched off, and you can turn it off at any time in Android settings.
Display over other apps: only if you use the charging show, or run the status bar without the accessibility service.
Notifications: only for the low battery alert, and for the notice Android requires while the app is working in the background.
STRAIGHT ABOUT THE LIMITS
Covering the real status bar needs the accessibility service. Without it, your bar sits just below the system one instead, and the app tells you when that happens rather than leaving you guessing.
In whole bar mode your notification icons are hidden, because showing them would mean reading your notifications and Battery Emoji does not ask for that. If you want to keep them, use the "just the battery" mode.
