Comments on Black Top Cabs Vancouver for Android

★★★★☆ Dan LaFreniere · Apr 19, 2025

Solid little app! Overall I'm very impressed. I'd also recommend setting your wallet in the app to pay in the taxi over using a credit card because the app doesn't allow you to use tip and sometimes there's confusion over payment with drivers. Support Canadian business and use this over Uber.

Such a nice driver. So pleasant and friendly

I love Blacktop Checker cab. I've been using them for a long time. The cabbies came right on time and let me off where I asked to be let off. The only issue was the cab smelled really bad like dirty feet or something. The cab didn't't look all that bad but just the cab smelled bad. Also, he had the air conditioning on which I thought was awesome, but I had to crack a window cuz of the smell in there.

Crashes Google Login. I've downloaded and installed this app twice and each time it causes my Google login to crash It also causes Google login to crash for every other app until I reboot my phone. Broken and useless.

★☆☆☆☆ Scotchmints · Nov 29, 2025

I ordered a cab, it said it would come in 2 minute-the little icon cab proceeded to take 8 minutes to get to me, and when it did there was no cab in sight. Now I'm late for work, and I'm never calling a black top cab again. Do not use this service- it is absolute garbage.

★★☆☆☆ Damir Poljak (Scruffy) · Sep 25, 2026

App frequently drops scheduled rides and force me to rebook them at which point I have to wait longer, which defies the scheduling feature. Also, the gps location is not precise when booking

★☆☆☆☆ Mike Arrance · Sep 12, 2025

Cab turned right instead of left to pick us up then left and didn't call me.
