blindGram

blindGram is an independent Telegram client designed for blind and low-vision users. It adds screen-reader descriptions, accessible controls and settings for how chats, messages and media are announced.

Messaging and file sharing:
• Send and receive messages, photos, videos and documents in Telegram chats.
• Open received APK file attachments from chats or Downloads using Android’s system package installer. Installation starts only when you choose the attachment and confirm it in Android.
• blindGram and blindGram Assistant updates use Google Play; their APK attachments open the Google Play update or store flow.

Key accessibility features:
• Customize which message and chat details your screen reader speaks and their exact reading order.
• Single-tap access to actions that normally require a long press, plus accessible voice-recording and media controls.
• Spoken progress announcements, earcons, haptic feedback and a fast render mode optimized for screen readers.
• Optional companion app (blindGram Assistant) adds offline OCR text extraction, voice-to-text, dictation and optional AI descriptions and summaries.

Account & license information:
• A Telegram account is required. blindGram is an independent app based on Telegram's open-source Android client and is not affiliated with Telegram.
• blindGram accessibility enhancements use a phone-linked license; Google Play builds offer one-time credit packages (30, 90, 180, 360, 720 and 1800 days) without automatic renewal. Purchases apply to the first signed-in Telegram account shown in the payment dialog.
