Use of the Accessibility Service
Blip AI uses Android's AccessibilityService API solely to power its optional floating microphone, which lets you dictate voice-to-text into the focused text field of any other app (WhatsApp, Gmail, Chrome, etc.). When — and only when — you tap the floating Blip mic, the service reads the position of the focused text field, the package name of the foreground app, and the existing text in that field, so Blip can insert your transcription in the right place.
Blip does not log keystrokes, does not read unfocused fields, does not capture the screen, does not record calls, and does not upload any accessibility data — it stays on your device. Before enabling the service, Blip shows an in-app disclosure with two clear choices ("Decline" or "I Agree & Continue"), and you can revoke the permission at any time from Android Settings → Accessibility → Blip AI. The floating microphone is optional — all other Blip features work without it.

Great app, works well. Just needs a little to snooze it when it pops up, and you don't need it. Drag to bottom to snooze is how other apps do this.

I love to blip already, and I'm only like a month in. The snippets feature is a game changer for me and anyone that uses a lot of the same information, links, or running around all day and don't have time to text. I can keep listening to music or audiobooks etc. while talking to blip and my audio doesn't cut off and blip doesn't pick up all the background noise, voices, etc. plus the accuracy of what it transcribes I would say is about 98.9% correct!!!! I love blip. Stop signing me out the app 🙏😂😅

I like it better than voice dash, at least I don't have to re-enable the overlay feature every time I restart or shut off my phone. Please, if you come up with any update, watch out for that because, for an Android user like me, that's a deal-breaker. If I have to re-enable the settings every time I restart the device, then this app will be abandoned and forgotten. Great app, keep up the good work. I only have one question how do you guys protect personal data privacy???.

The app allows me to record a note, but it doesn't let me make any modifications once the recording is transcribed. In edit mode, the menu bar features -> copy, AI edit, share, delete, etc do not work.

This application has very poor language detection, and it's very frustrating. Sometimes I speak in a certain language and end up getting the transcript text in a completely different language. It's just not very helpful and a waste of time. I hope they fix it. For that reason, I cannot give more than two stars, and even two stars seems very generous, but this language detection is very important and critical. I really hope they fix it.
