Turn pages without touching your reader. Bookmote turns the phone in your pocket into a Bluetooth page turner for e-readers, iPads and tablets — press a volume key, tap a widget, or just say "next".
No extra hardware. No spare phone. No account, no ads, free.
WHY PEOPLE USE IT
• Reading in bed with one hand under the blanket
• On a treadmill, at the gym, or holding a hot drink
• Sheet music on a tablet — turn pages without lifting your hands
• Comics and manga on a big screen, one thumb on your phone
• Slides or a PDF from across the room
• Limited mobility — reader on a stand, minimal movement per page
HOW IT WORKS
Bookmote pairs as a standard Bluetooth keyboard (HID). Volume keys, on-screen buttons, a home screen widget or a Quick Settings tile send the page-turn key to your reader. Because it is just a keyboard, it works in any reading app that turns pages with keys — KOReader included.
VOICE CONTROL
Say NEXT, PREVIOUS, HOME, REFRESH or BACK (in English) and the page turns. Add the optional offline voice model and it works with no network at all.
TRACK WHAT YOU READ
It already knows every page you turn, so it keeps a reading log:
• Reading Dashboard — currently reading, daily goal, pages per day
• Yearly stats and a reading heatmap that fills in as you go
• Reading diary — rate a book, add notes, share an entry as a card
• Search Google Books to tag the book you are on
WORKS WITH
iOS apps: Apple Books, Kindle for iOS, Google Play Books, Adobe Acrobat (PDF — set keys to Page Up/Down)
Android apps: Kindle for Android, Google Play Books, Adobe Acrobat, KOReader, Batcave comic reader
Korean e-book apps: RIDI, Kyobo, Millie, yes24
Devices: Onyx BOOX, all series incl. Go 7 (page turn, home, e-ink refresh) · Kobo models with Bluetooth — Clara 2E, Clara BW, Clara Colour, Libra 2, Libra Colour, Sage, Elipsa 2E · Supernote · Crema · Bigme, Meebook and other Android e-readers · iPad and iPhone · Android tablets and phones
PLEASE CHECK FIRST
• Kindle devices (Paperwhite, Oasis, Scribe): no. Stock Kindle firmware does not accept Bluetooth keyboard input. Reading Kindle books in the Kindle app on an iPad or Android tablet works fine.
• Kobo without Bluetooth: no radio to pair with.
• Nook, most models: does not work.
• PocketBook: the stock reader ignores the keys. Install KOReader and set keys to Page Up/Down.
• reMarkable: setup-dependent, not reliable.

SETUP
1. On your tablet or e-reader, open Bluetooth settings and search for devices
2. Open Bookmote, pick your device, confirm the pairing code
3. Open your book and turn pages with the volume keys or on-screen buttons
FEATURES
• On-screen next and previous buttons
• Volume keys turn pages with the screen off (optional Accessibility permission)
• Home screen widget and Quick Settings tile
• Voice commands, with an optional offline model
• Multi-device quick switch, key settings remembered per device
• E-ink ghost-clear button (BOOX)
• Dark mode
• Automation friendly — Tasker, a smartwatch or any app can trigger a page turn by broadcast intent
PERMISSIONS
• Bluetooth and Bluetooth Advertise — pair, and register as a keyboard
• Microphone — only while voice commands are switched on
• Accessibility, optional — lets the volume keys turn pages while the screen is off. Bookmote detects volume up and down presses only — no screen content, no text, no notifications. Nothing is logged or sent anywhere.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Volume-key turning can pause while another app plays media. Pause it, or use the on-screen buttons — they always work.
• An e-reader left idle may need a screen tap to reconnect — its power saving, not a bug. iPad and iPhone reconnect on their own.
• On iOS, page turn and home only.

Recent changes:
• New fullscreen mode. Tap the fullscreen icon at the top of the remote screen to split the whole screen into two giant zones: left for previous, right for next. Handy when your hands are busy, like playing music or cooking.
• Fullscreen mode also works in landscape (it follows your phone's auto-rotate setting).
