Why can't you start the app without an internet connection? You can not read an ebook that you have previously downloaded to use offline without an active internet connection? Which defeats the purpose of downloading the ebook in the first place

DO NOT BUY THIS APP (or any media that requires its use, which include books from Booktopia). Cannot access original book file, so my recent purchase is useless. Waste of time and money. UPDATE: Kobo support says they cannot provide a refund, so your returns system is either non-existent or broken. Either way the user loses out. Terrible service. Zero stars

I wanted to support Booktopia but buying an ebook I can't read on my ereader is a waste of time and money. The instructions tell you how to "download the book." This means solely on their app. Will seek another venue.

I saw the website, and liked it, so I downloaded the app, to get the catered experience. But, nothing on the website (or in the name/general description) made it clear that this isn't the app form of the website, but purely an reader shop. No hate to those who like ebooks (you save more money than me) but I wanted real, paperback books. It's only after logging in that I learn this app is only for eBooks, unlike the website. That's just misleading.
