Comments on Braid, Anniversary Edition for Android
★★★★★
Braid brings back fond childhood memories with its intricate puzzles and captivating story. The mobile port is a welcome addition. However, in the Netflix version, level 5-7 has a visual bug where the shadow doesn't display the key, causing confusion. For secret stars, avoid completing the puzzle pieces in world 3 until you find them. In level 4-7, a bug makes the key teleport to a lower platform, preventing star collection. The controls are also finicky when trying to get the secret stars.

Great puzzle platformer. One of the all-time classics

Incredible remake. The commentary is nicely arranged inside the game, I will be coming back to it for a long time. I'm enjoying learning about the game and the people who made it. Also, the touch controls are surprisingly good, especially the rewind scrubber. You can tap and immediately drag left to freeze, which makes some puzzles easier than on a game pad. It still works on a Bluetooth game pad, which is always better for being tactile of course, but the touch controls are very good on the go.
★★☆☆☆
The game features a lame excuse for a mobile control system. The buttons are unreliable and move around slightly every so often when you press them. Puzzles become near-impossible when you have to press the time travel button six times in a row, only for the button to move slightly, making you press the jump button instead. There was no thought put into this, they just put a couple movable buttons on the screen that replace a physical controller. Way too frustrating to complete.
★★☆☆☆
How about warming people that a Netflix account is required to play that game? Waste of a download. No, thanks Netflix.
★★☆☆☆
The lack of a fixed joystick location makes the controls feel far worse than they actually are. It makes the game feel slippery and inconsistent, which is a death sentence for a precision platformer. If fixed, will update review.
