Description
The Brennan can be controlled from any Android on the same wifi network. The app will allow you to control and search music on your Brennan
The Brennan B2 is a hard disk hi-fi that can be controlled from the Brennan app. This app simply searches for a Brennan B2 or BB1 on your home network and shows an overview of what's playing - allow you to search music and control it right from the app.
Features of app include:

The app usually finds the Brennan within a second or two then disappears. This saves you having to type in the IP address of the Brennan B2 or BB1 and gives you one touch access to your Brennan from your phone or tablet. This can be even more useful if you have a wireless router that often changes the IP address assigned to the Brennan.

I have b2 (purchased 06/20) plugged in optically to Marantz 6007 amp....sound quality of FLAC files is stunning. Connecting from HP Omen laptop via web ui works every time, and you can manage everything you need from there. However, Samsung a6 mobile and S2 tablet is like throwing a die....sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't connect first time...when it does, browsing library is great, much less complicated and easier to scroll than before but no access to my playlists which is a shame.

After reading feedback here, before I purchase, you need to sort out your app! Not purchasing until your app is modern not backward, were not your Guinea pigs, sort it or Question, is there anyway I can use Amazon Music HD on this unit, I don't own a pc either, I also have a Robert's radio, could this be classed as a second speaker? I have 550 cd's in my collection, can they be ripped, if so then how large is the ssd onboard the brennan portable, I'm Interested in buying, five stars for design.

As a follow-up to my last review, I can now see what's going on. The UI takes a bit of "discovering". In the "search" view, toggle buttons are available for artist, album and track. While ripping, this seemed to be the default view on the data, and displayed data when these filters are on, even with nothing in the search text bar above. Eventually my data hit a display limit of 50 items, which doesn't appear to exist in the other view, the tree view. So I can now see all the data in the app. :)

Complete waste of my life, absolutely rubbish device and app. Will be making a complaint and returning the device. Cannot pair the app to the device. I have used multiple phones and tablets with no success. I used my home 2 GB Internet connection and even tried my Starlink. The device is online but app said it does not exist at the IP address show on the front display of the device. Very disappointed for a device that costs nearly £300 and is not fit for the purpose it was designed for.

Very disappointing. Seems to be impossible to enable YouTube caches despite ticking the "enable" option numerous times, the settings change does not save. YouTube's history is not saved either. Most frustrating 😫

I'm endorsing someone else's review, word for word Frustrated User. The previous version of this app worked perfectly but since the update I'm lucky if my phone or tablet will connect at all. Constantly get a message telling me it cannot find a Brennan on my network. Why oh why. What has gone wrong? Even typing the IP address displayed on the Brennan B2 screen into the app manual search does not bear fruit. Please fix!!
