Good; does a better job of reconnecting to a server when going from Wi-Fi to Mobile Data and vice versa. I use a VPN to connect to the server when out and about, and network changes are common-place; Squeeze Player (which I have used for years) always skipped songs and stopped responding when network changes occurred, but this app seems to deal with change pretty well (thanks to the timeout and retry options I presume). The client-side bitrate option is also useful for remote listening. I would perhaps like to see a 100% fixed volume option for the LMS client, though, as I would rather just change the volume of my phone (and Bluetooth headset) and not have to think about another volume level. I realize, though, that perhaps this already exists (does "Use Device Volume" and "Disable Volume Buttons" together fix the volume of the client on the server?), and I might just be getting confused, especially because Orange Squeeze has its own Device volume options. Perhaps Squeezer would be a better fit with SB Player. Anyway; thanks!

It works! With very little fanfare it simply does what it sets out to do: turns your phone into a Squeezebox player/client. For me, this closed a gap from my central music library to Bluetooth speakers, and it works perfectly. A bargain at 3 bucks. It's worth buying Squeeze Control too if you've got a Logitech media server and an android phone, and stop looking for that remote control.

** UPDATE: thanks Angry Goat you have fixed it for my Chromebook!!! :) I am very grateful that you have done this, and it works wonderfully too. It even stays running in the background until I close Squeeze Ctrl. Many cheers!

Wow! Cross fade! If you are a Squeezebox junkie like me, this is a wonderful little program that simply does what it says "on the tin". I was surprised to see Cross fade is supported. This is a unique feature that isn't found on any other software player here in the Android market. The developer is quick to respond to issues and questions. So give it a whirl!

Does NOT sync with other players Is it a limitation of squeezebox? Don't know, but don't advertise that you can sync when you can't. Have the latest device and android version--so it ain't me. One star for lying. Wouldn't refund even though uninstalled before 15 minutes.

Wanna money back! Useless, sluggish, out of sync music. The original codecs of the phone should be used. It is optimized for the phone. Synchronization always behind than other devices. The CPU is Qualcomm 1.2 GHz should be more enough to play ACC files. Add an option for selecting internal/external codecs to be used.

This has worked great for a couple of years. Now I can no longer get by the battery optimization splash screen on my Pixel 6a.

How do I enter a port address and a login information (UserName/Password) for the Squeeze Server?

Trust & Safety: The app requests network access, internet, wake lock, and foreground service permissions typical for streaming media players. It does not request sensitive data beyond standard playback needs; the dynamic receiver permission is an internal control measure.
