Remote control for the Squeezebox system. Control your Squeezebox players from your Android device. This app controls Squeezebox players connected to a Logitech Media Server (Squeezebox Server) or MySqueezebox.com (including the server in the SqueezeBox Touch). Replicates almost every function of a Squeezebox Controller with an interface optimize for a touch screen.

Requirements: Logitech Media Server version 7.7 or better (tested with versions up to 7.8). A MySqueezebox.com account is required if you don't use a Squeezebox Server. You can create one from within the app or on the website. And of course Squeezebox players to control.

Notes: - If the app crashes on launch after an update, please delete the app's data storage.
- There is a bad tip floating around about ways to speed up the UI. It tells you to go into the Developer Options of your phone and setting Animator Duration Scale to Off. Please Do NOT do this. Doing so will prevent this app from functioning properly and possibly other apps too. Instead, try just changing it to 0.5
- This app can be quite demanding on the server compared to other controller apps and as such may not work well with a server running on a NAS. Complaints in the reviews about slowness is likely due to having the server on a NAS. This is especially true if you have a large library (more than 10000 songs)
- Use a wifi connection if possible. A mobile data connection would work if the server is setup correctly, but the performance may not be acceptable.
- When connected, this app is constantly communicating with the server. If you're using a mobile data connection, this may incur a significant data usage fee.

Bought this years ago and is great for controlling my Logitech Squeezebox booms. They work like Sonos does.

I have over the years tried many apps to control my devices remotely playing with LMS. Everyone that I have used has been problematic at one time or another. I have never had any problems with Squeeze Ctrl, it just works always.

Best app for controlling Logitech Media Server (soon to be Tyrion Music Server). Had it on every Android phone I ever had. Well worth the money.

My Synology server streams 4k content on my gigabit LAN, so it's not slow as you answered, always connected and auto connect are both on, but the problem does not go away, i.e. disconnections. Again, squeezer has no issues... I simply wanted a richer UI ...not sure how handling a large db and losing connection are function of processing power or ram, if they are then how about you add to the specs that a synology 214+ with a few thousands mp3 is not powerful enough ?

Sad to say this app has lost me. I've given up waiting for it to reload the album covers. I've been using this for 2 years on the same devices and feel it's getting worse at functioning like normal. I recently reinstalled my media server as I thought it was misbehaving. Recently tried Squeezer, and it works flawlessly in comparison and much fewer settings to worry about. Sorry dev, but now I feel like the "angry goat". In future if I read that it improves then maybe I'll give it another whirl.

After the latest upgrade the app is now totally useless as it now won't connect to the LMS server. Please could you fix this.
