Catering Quote Builder

Catering Quote Builder — the boo calculator and quote book for small catering companies and private chefs. Enter the event, build the menu, add your other costs and see at once what to charge and what you will earn.

CREATE THE EVENT
Give each job a date, start time, venue, guest count and service duration. Link it to a client. Change the guest count later and every figure follows — boo recalculates the whole quote instantly.

BUILD THE MENU
Add starters, mains, desserts and drinks. For each dish set the ingredient cost and the preparation cost per portion, and how many portions you need: per guest (1 each, 0.5 for half the guests, 2 for two each) or a fixed number, such as a cake. The boo app totals ingredients and preparation separately.

DON'T FORGET THE OTHER COSTS
Staff by the hour, transport, equipment hire, table setting and packaging each have their own place. Hourly staff can follow the service duration plus set-up time.

PRICE IT YOUR WAY
Work with a markup on cost or a margin on price; boo shows what one means in terms of the other. Add a discount as a percentage or an amount. Use one VAT rate or several on the same quote, or switch VAT off if you are not registered. The default rate is the Estonian 24% and you can change every rate.

KNOW YOUR PROFIT
A separate boo screen shows the expected profit, the margin, the profit per guest, a cost breakdown by category, your largest costs and how much discount you can give before the event runs at a loss.

OFFER VARIANTS
Prepare two or three versions of the same event, for example classic and premium, and compare totals, costs and profit side by side.

START FROM A TEMPLATE
Four ready-made quotes are included: a wedding dinner, a corporate lunch buffet, a birthday garden party and a private dinner at home. Save your own quotes as templates and keep your dishes in a library with their costs.

SEND A CLEAR PDF
The quote lists every dish and service with quantities and prices, the discount, VAT per rate, the total, the price per guest and your terms of service. Share it from your phone or print it. You can also send a version with one price per guest and no line prices.

KEEP TRACK
Mark quotes as draft, sent, accepted or declined. The first boo screen shows upcoming work, quotes waiting for an answer and the expected profit from accepted quotes. Every change to a quote is kept in a history with the total before and after.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no in-app purchases, no notifications. The boo app works offline and has no permission to use the internet: your prices and clients stay on your phone. Save a backup file whenever you like.

Amounts are shown in euros (€12.50), dates as 20.10.2026 and times in the 24-hour clock.

The boo app is a calculator. It does not give tax advice; check the VAT rates that apply to your services with your accountant.
