Cesto

Cesto finds your Continente grocery receipts in Gmail and lets you ask questions about them in plain language.

Ask things like:
• How much did I spend in August?
• How much sugar did I buy last month?
• What do I buy most often?
• How much did I spend on dairy?

HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect Gmail. Google's own dialog asks for read-only access.
2. Cesto finds your Cartão Continente receipt emails from the last 3 months and downloads the receipt PDFs.
3. The receipts are read on your phone and the items are saved in a local database.
4. Ask a question. Totals and quantities are calculated from your own data, so the numbers are exact.

PRIVACY FIRST
• Your receipts, PDFs and database stay on your phone.
• Cesto never sends, deletes or changes your emails.
• Your Gmail access token never leaves your device.
• No backup to the cloud: a new install simply syncs from Gmail again.

YOUR OWN GEMINI KEY
Cesto uses Google Gemini to read receipt items and answer questions. You add your own Gemini API key in Settings, in two steps. The key is stored encrypted on your phone and is only sent to Google.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Works with Continente receipts sent by email to Cartão Continente members.
• Receipts show what you bought, not what you ate.
• Cesto is an independent app and is not affiliated with Continente.
