I got my Square Off Pro last week and although the computer is amazing I found the user interface disappointing. On finding out that Chess Dojo works with Square Off Pro I immediately installed the app on my tablet. The free version comes with a few gaming styles while strength levels can be individually set. And for about 3 euros a whole load more styles can be installed. All in all I think Dojo has the more intuitive user interface and is easier to work with.

Chess Dojo is an excellent app to download as a chess player. You will notice a great improvement in your games and ELO. I recommend this app.

The Pro Version is excellent, and plays great chess. Now that running your own chess engines on the latest versions of Android is so difficult, this app really is the future. As mentioned by an earlier reviewer DGT USB support would be a really useful feature which would enable all traditional DGT E-Board/Smart board users to connect. It would also be great if a help screen was included detailing the playing styles of the personalities. Thanks for a great app.

The app plays nothing like humans as it claims. Essentially it's working two programs (Patricia and Rodent) while adjusting some of their parameters to make it aggressive or defensive. The review feature is useless, and I had to opt for copying the game to chess com or lichens then analyze it on their engine. You cannot take back moves. There is no opening analysis. It's a good attempt but so far away from the chess com bots, noctie or chessiverse.

A complete disappointment. The only good thing is that the app works well, but I paid for nothing. No description of the "personalities". "Analysis" is a huge misnomer: there's NO analysis at all. (The developer of two PGN-reading apps should know what analysis means.) Heck, the app doesn't even display the list of moves, something that even most half-decent chess apps do! Where are those 5-star reviews coming from?! EDIT: So I need another app to see the analysis. That's utterly ridiculous.
