I have been using City Cabs for several years and all baring a couple of drivers all the drivers are friendly and helpful. I also have a daughter in a wheelchair, and they couldn't be nicer when getting her into the cab.

As others have said very slow to find location, my successful solution is to go to Google Maps compass to locate yourself, once located, City Cab finds your location quickly. If Booking ahead only put in your pickup spot before clicking 'book for later' otherwise you end up booking for straight away. Suggestion for app developer - assume everyone books for later and then over option to book straight away-much easier sensible flow for users. Had to cancel booking ASAP/ not tomorrow.!

I prefer City Cabs to any other Taxi Company in Edinburgh. I get a City Cab Nearly Every day and a Lot of the Driver's know me and are Really Nice some can be insensitive, but as I say, I Wouldn't Go With Another Taxi Company in Edinburgh.

City Cabs used to be the best cab service in Edinburgh, I've been a frequent customer for years, but it's really gone downhill in the past six months. I'm not sure what changes they've made, but cabs are coming from much further out, taking a lot longer, and I sometimes get cycled between 3-5 different drivers before one actually keeps the job and shows up. I really hate to say it, but I may have to switch to Central Cabs because City has just become too unreliable.

Don't book in advance! If you do, add 10 minutes for the driver to get to you, as it's only assigned at your booked time. I just came outside ready for my pre-booked taxi, and watched three empty taxis drive past me one after the other (two I saw go the other way dropping people off). Would have been faster to not bother pre-booking.
