Pelago can help members with the following substance use goals: ‣ Reduce alcohol consumption, quit drinking, or explore a sober curious lifestyle ‣ Quit or cut back on tobacco use (cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, cigars, cigarillos, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe) ‣ Quit or cut back on vaping (electronic cigarettes, heat) ‣ Overcome opioid dependence
With the Pelago app, you can: ‣ Attend 1:1 appointments with your coach, counselor, or physician ‣ Set and review goals, and monitor your progress over time ‣ Track things like alcohol-free streaks or money saved from not smoking ‣ Access the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) library, which offers guided support in evaluating and changing your habits ‣ Message your dedicated care team member anytime, anywhere ‣ View your prescribed medication (if applicable)
How to get started 1. Before downloading the app, sign up online. Use the information shared with you by Pelago, your employer, or your health plan. Awesome program! It not only gave insightful information, but it also has a real life coach to interact with (via message/call/email) I went through it for smoking/nicotine and recommend highly for anyone struggling with that!! The cognitive therapy is great, and I use the information I have learned in my every day. This program gives you the tools and coping skills to stay quit forever!!! I recommend this product to anyone!

My insurance company was billed over $2000, and I have never seen a therapist or anything off here. What is the charge for downloading the app and checking in? That's all I did. I don't understand.

Pretty bad. The schedule appointment link never works, so I always have to contact support to get a link to schedule an appointment

Not good when you are trying to quit, but the app doesn't work. No coach support... had an appointment and set aside part of my day just to get blown off... so thanks for nothing

Did not send update to my company after completing the tobacco cessation program, so I'm still charged a use surcharge. App does not have a way to contact anyone, links within app unresponsive. Would not recommend this app/program for that use
