As a host it sends me notifications if someone is looking to book a charge. Saves my payment details so payment is smooth. But once you've signed up as a host you don't see the chargee side of things, so it's difficult to help new people getting used to it.

First experience yesterday as a chargee. This is a great service as I don't have my own driveway. Very friendly host nearby, and I like being able to book a slot without having to disturb him. My only gripe is with the timers in the app. During charge, it was wildly inaccurate (said I'd been charging for 5 hours when in reality it was 3). Then when I finished it said I'd only been charging for just under 3 hours, when in reality it was 3 and a half. I was billed correctly so no dramas! :)

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! We agreed a charge with a Host, and after we started the charging, he increased the charging rate per hour. CoCharge app used the new rate he set, instead of the rate it was when we agreed to the charging session. Feel cheated and this is a terrible loophole for hosts to abuse! They could set the rate to anything they want!, after you start charging!!

Wanted to love this app as a viable way of charging my car in the absence of my own home charger at cheap prices. Unfortunately, very few local chargers offered in my built-up town. The price model needs a re-think - cost per kWh plus an hourly rental fee just means it's not competitive (paired with slow charging times & often inconvenient locations). You can find dedicated public chargers that charge similar / less (mainly at off-peak times), at a much faster speed and in easier locations.

It's a good idea, but having to go through all the rigmarole of completing a full profile, adding vehicle details, and even validating a payment card just to find out the nearest charger available to rent is over a mile away and costs significantly more than public charging at the shopping center is not a very good onboarding experience. Surely the map is the first thing you want a new user to see, right?
