Not many hotspots in Canada, some don't exist even though listed in the app. As for the service, in Calgary Bingo piggybacks on TELUS's Pass point Wi-Fi hotspots using the Hotspot 2.0 protocol. This means you have to download a certificate from Bingo and install it on your smartphone. The certificate worked on my Google Pixel 4 but did not work with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. Very slow speeds. I've read that Bingo works on West Jet flights that have Wi-Fi service so that might be useful.

Even when finding a hotspot via the app and then trying to connect to a hotspot, I am directed to a Wi-Fi sign-in page. I have rarely been able to ever get hotspots to connect
