Just insulted haven't even started for the first time yet but had to make a comment after reading all the reviews, and I'm hoping this is a lot smarter than the reviewers. Listen idiots any app that you might share something with will require your phone permissions how the hell else is it going to share so that also means your contacts because that's who you're going to share it with SMH dumbasses

Great setup instructions (I did it manually, and it was super simple, and they provide screenshots). I'm very tempted to pay for pro, and I wonder if it lets me set the renderer output, so I can pick a Chromecast.

I had this set up in 5 mins, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Only problem so far is that I haven't worked out how to switch subtitles within the app. If I can do that then I'll pay for this whether I need the added features or not because this is exactly how I want to shop for the apps I need. Thank you for this. Much better than trying to do it through remote pc. Edit: VLC won't play subs when casting to tv, so it's not the app's fault.

This app worked great, til it didn't work at all. I've tried everything I can think to connect it to my computer including running all updates and even reinstalling both VLC and the remote. I've tried pairing on multiple devices. I've tried manually pairing. Nothing. There is also NO way to talk to the makers of this app for help and support that I can find. I really do wish I could give this app 5 stars but right now it is flat out broken and totally unusable.

Pointless. You can't pause video and cannot play from folders. I have the paid version on my phone and was helping a client over the phone, they said the app doesn't work. I just tried this on an old android phone and sure enough, no pause option or play from folders. Only option is to pay £2.89.

Doesn't work! VLC makes remote access easy by offering an IP link. But this remote app will not work with an IP link. I'm going from phone to phone. The VLC app that I'm trying to control on my other phone can see that I'm connected to it but this remote app doesn't believe I'm connected. This should be simple.
