2019: Best book/reading app ever. Latest books. Amazing selection. Have not regretted subscribing. 2025: There seem to be more restrictions now in terms of how many books you can save/read at a time. The site is now split with uploads PDFs etc. housed under Scribe and books/ audiobooks etc. under Everand, however you can access both with one subscription. I like the range of books on offer, but you are unlikely to find the very latest releases here. The cost has increased as well.

Good audible alternative. Audiobooks and books. The collection is not as big as amazon. That's my only critic. It's like a Library. Monthly fees. Borrow and read as much, return it, come back as often, but you don't own the book.

This used to be a great app that encouraged my teenagers to read or listen to books, but with the new plan we pass the download limits quickly, and the unlimited section is not very good. Everand increased the price, and now they have a much worse product. I will not be renewing our subscription.

I was a bookseller and used to recommend this app to everyone as an alternative to Amazon (audible and kindle). There is so much less available now that I've switched to the new subscription plan and I wish so badly that I'd stayed on the old plan. Titles that were included before now have to be unlocked and many titles I had saved that were part of my previous subscription are now locked. The worst part: Monthly unlocks DON'T ROLL OVER - they expire. If you have the old plan DON'T SWITCH!!!!

Scribe used to be my favorite app, they carried books I had trouble finding many other places, and I was blown away at the value. Now, you basically pay for a membership to get one book or audiobook. Books and authors I have been reading for years on there I am now required to pay for if I want to read them. Honestly may as well go with audible, at least you keep access to your audiobooks unlike everand where you can only access your unlocked books while holding an active membership.
