Seems to help other apps stay locked on my current location. Google still seems to have its a own way of finding my location - pro & con. All I know is that I rely on my GPS for work and every time I switch phones or uninstall this app, at the end of the day, I'm so frustrated with the GPS, and then it hits me, I didn't have it on as always. Uber, Lyft, Waze nav all seem to be quicker in getting me moving again asap. Just keep it running in the background. And google the settings for help.

Hmm, seems to work well with Samsung and Oppo Phones not so much with Xiaomi. I'm always getting intermittent gps lock with Xiaomi phones.

This app is amazing. The only problem is that it shouldn't have to exist in the first place! Shame on Google for both not trusting their users and outright lying to them when it comes to GPS.

Used to work amazing, took a couple of SECONDS to get a proper connection. But since this week it doesn't anymore. Takes ages before I get something of a conection, sometimes more than 10-20 MINUTES in a flat country, no mountains, just roads, meadows and forests. To get a connection. Even though I see many green bars in the listing. Not sure what's going on, but it's always blinking yellow looking forward to the next fix / update, to restore as it once was

I 'locked' it when I had GPS fix, and configured it to use Waze. I used Waze, and after a while it stopped navigation and could not show the route. When checking the app again (unlock and lock) it didn't have a fix. So, when it does not see GPS satellites, it cannot keep the tracking...
