Wikiloc is simply the best hiking app! Amazing trail collection, accurate maps, and excellent GPS navigation. Garmin synchronization and route transfer work seamlessly. Premium is required for offline maps and transferring routes to smartwatches, while downloading routes is still possible for free. The built-in social community is also great for sharing adventures and meeting fellow hikers. No other hiking app comes close to Wikiloc! Highly recommended!

An essential app for finding and following new hiking trails when you're in areas that are unfamiliar to you.

I have been using the application for a long time, and I am very satisfied, except that sometimes the app itself pauses when recording a track, even though I set it not to pause due to battery saving or similar restrictions. That problem should be solved. And often the height provided by the app does not match the actual height. For example the peak is officially at 2914 meters and other apps I use give the same height and wikiloc says it's 2904. Besides, it's well-designed and easy to use

Would be 5 Star if there was a scale on the maps, so you could estimate the length of possible new walks also the gray lines that are over some tracks have spoiled the maps because they appear to represent good tracks but some of them are not actually over tracks. It would help if there was a way to turn them off, so you can see if there's a track there.

Really great app, very good for hiking, and keeping you on a route. Wish I did enough hikes to justify €20 a year. Loved the photo integration.

Totally useless for me walking Camino dos Faros, trail marked but no GPS. Really difficult to cancel free two week premium subscription, still trying!!
★☆☆☆☆Denis Artamonov· Oct 14, 2026
They removed the user rating score from the search results list now you need to click dozens of trails just to find ones with ratings, I will cancel my subscription for that reason
★★☆☆☆Vuk· Oct 22, 2026
Seems nice on the first go. But I can't figure out how to use the map, so I deleted it. It looks like a weird Facebook clone, with people's routes, I just want to plot my own on the map, which I can't open. Weird app.
