Daily Blocker: Apps & Websites

Spend less time distracted and more time focused on what matters.

Daily Blocker helps you block distracting apps, websites and domain keywords. Block distractions immediately, create flexible schedules or start a temporary blocking session whenever you need to focus.

Whether you are working, studying, building better screen habits or simply trying to spend less time scrolling, Daily Blocker gives you practical tools to take control of your device usage.

🚫 Block distracting apps

Choose the apps that distract you and block access when you need to focus.

Start a temporary block for a set amount of time or keep an app blocked until you decide to turn it off.

⏳ Set daily app time limits

Set daily usage limits for distracting apps.

Choose how much time you want to allow each day, and Daily Blocker will block the app once its daily limit has been reached.

🔕 Block notifications from blocked apps

Choose to block notifications from apps while they are actively blocked.

This helps reduce interruptions and makes it easier to stay focused without notifications pulling you back into distracting apps.

🌐 Block websites by site or keyword

Block distracting websites directly from your Android device.

You can also add keywords to block websites whose domain names contain those words, without needing to enter every individual domain.

📅 Create flexible blocking schedules

Set up recurring schedules for work, study, sleep or any other part of your routine.

Choose the days, start time and end time, then let Daily Blocker automatically activate your selected blocks.

⏱️ Start temporary focus sessions

Need to focus right now?

Quickly block selected distractions for a set period without creating a permanent schedule. Choose a duration that suits you and return to what you were doing when the session ends.

📊 Understand your screen time

View your recent device usage and identify which apps take up the most time.

Daily Blocker provides simple usage insights to help you recognise patterns, monitor your progress and make more informed decisions about your screen habits.

🔐 Protect Daily Blocker with a passcode

Set a passcode for Daily Blocker to stop yourself from changing your blocks too easily.

🔒 Make blocks harder to bypass

Hard Mode adds additional steps that make active blocks harder to change or disable, while keeping them under your control.

Use it when you want stronger boundaries and fewer opportunities to give in to distractions.

🔐 Permissions and services

Daily Blocker requires certain Android permissions and services to provide its blocking and usage-insight features.

Accessibility Service

Daily Blocker uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to detect when a user-selected app is opened, measure its foreground usage for Daily Limits, and display the blocking screen when an app-blocking rule or Daily Limit applies. It is used only to enforce app-blocking rules and Daily Limits configured by the user.

Android VpnService

Daily Blocker uses Android VpnService for local DNS filtering to enforce website and domain-keyword blocking configured by the user.

Daily Blocker is not a general-purpose VPN and does not route browsing traffic through Daily Blocker servers or external VPN servers. Unblocked DNS requests may be forwarded to your network’s DNS provider or fallback DNS providers so websites and apps can load normally.
